Awards
ForEverglades Research Enhancement Grants provide graduate students up to $30,000 for stipends, tuition fees, travel, and other research-related expenses. Formerly known as ForEverglades Scholarships & Fellowships, these awards are intended to support outstanding graduate research in areas related to the current and future restored Everglades ecosystem. ForEverglades Research Enhancement Grants are made possible through the generosity of supporters of The Everglades Foundation. Research topics on the Florida Bay ecosystem, climate change, habitat restoration, fisheries or wildlife ecology, and resource management are of special interest to several of our named awards. ForEverglades Research Enhancement Grants will also support research related to the physical, chemical or biological processes of freshwater or estuarine ecosystems of the Everglades, or research in resilience, climate change, economics, policy or social interactions as they relate to the greater Everglades ecosystem. These grantees will be known as fellows, and the grant duration is 12 months.
